Excerpts from Another letter written by Emily to Celia Tyrrell (wife of son Wm. Tyrrell) (Letter in possession of Reva Andreason’s daughter)
Grouse Creek, Ut. - Feb. 8th 1901
…..”I feel pretty good now and maybe I will get out of here this next summer. I just got a letter from Willie’s brother, Henry, and he is coming to see me soon. He lives in Arizona. The cattle are all looking well this winter. Charley is still digging away in his mine but it does not improve any so far. He sends his love to you and the children. “My sister in law is here from Sunshine on a visit.” (This would have been Gusta Boyd) (It was late at night when I was copying this so I did not take time to copy the whole thing. It was difficult to decipher the writing and this was all the pertinent information I was able to read at that time. I wish I had taken more time now since Reva died suddenly a couple of weeks ago and all her genealogy papers have been taken to California by her daughter Maurine.) |
